Over the years the conversation of whether a REALTOR should own their own property before getting into the business pops up. I have to say, I totally disagree that that's an important factor. Here is why:

Everyone is in their own stage of life. While it may be the right time for some, it may not be the right time for others, no matter how well a certain market is doing. 

Me, for example, I made mid six-figures doing real estate years before I purchased my own home. Not once in my career have I ever been asked why I didn't own a home. It's not something, in my experience, that was ever a roadblock. 

Bottom line, your client doesn't care whether you own a home. They care how well you take care of them and whether you help solve their problems. Join the conversation
